Prohibited Items
Many laws, regulations and policies, in a variety of jurisdictions,
regulate the goods and services that may be bought and sold. For your
convenience, we have prepared a list of some of the types of prohibited and
restricted items the sale of which is not permitted on SnagPop. SnagPop
reserves the right to remove other items that are not on this list if they are
considered inappropriate, illegal or are in breach of our Terms and Conditions. Listing
fees are non-refundable.
SnagPop
users remain responsible for complying with all applicable laws, regulations or
restrictions on items, services, or manner of sale, payment or exchange, that
may apply to transactions in which they participate -- including but not
limited to those imposed in The United States, where the SnagPop service
physically resides. We encourage you to research the applicable laws and
regulations that may apply to your transaction. You are responsible in making
sure that you are legally allowed to buy or sell an item. Find out
before listing!
Adult related items: Including obscene material or
child pornography. You must not list items that are considered to be indecent
by the authorities.
Alcohol: You must
have a license to list wine and other alcohol and display your license number
in the listing. Make sure you know the laws of trading alcohol in all states
you may trade in.
Animal products, organs or any body
parts: You must not list any animal products, organs or
body parts including human parts and remains or live animals and pets.
Artifacts and Heritage Items: You must
not list any artifacts or heritage items that may be protected under federal
laws. It is also important to remember that artifacts or relics removed from
locations outside of The United States may also be subject to legislation
originating in the country from where the artifact or relic was originally
located.
Burglary tools: Such as
lock-picks or motor vehicle master keys.
Controlled substances or illegal drugs: Substances
and items used to manufacture controlled substances, narcotics and drug
paraphernalia.
Copyrighted items: You must
not list items or include content which breaches any copyright or other
intellectual property rights, including Counterfeit or knock-off brand name
goods or material that infringes copyright, such as warez, bootlegs (without
consent of the band), etc.
Counterfeit currency, coins and stamps: as well as
equipment designed to make them.
False identification cards: Items with
police insignia, citizenship documents, or birth certificates.
Fireworks: Including
"safe and sane" fireworks or any destructive devices or explosives.
Hate material: Books,
Manuals, Software or literature promoting violence or containing hate
literature.
Illegal activity: Books,
Manuals, Software or literature that provide instructions on how to perform or
engage in any form of illegal activity.
Illegal items: Any item
that the sale of is prohibited by any law or any item which is stolen or unsafe
to use or operate.
Illegal telecommunications equipment: Such as
access cards, password sniffers, access card programmers and unloopers, or
cable descramblers.
Lotteries: Lottery
tickets, raffle tickets or raffle auctions.
Non-Prescription Drugs: That makes
false or misleading treatment claims or treatment claims that require
Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approval.
OEM software: You must
not list Original Equipment Manufacturer software (OEM) unless listed with the specified
accompanying hardware.
Pesticides or hazardous substances: Or items
containing hazardous substances such as contaminated toys, or art or craft
material containing toxic substances without a warning label.
Police related items: You must
not list any police related items regardless of origin (other countries).
Prescription Drugs and Medical Devices: You must
not list any items such as prescription or contact lenses, defibrillators, hypodermic
needles or hearing aids.
Restricted or regulated plants and
insects: Such as noxious weeds, endangered plant species,
or live insects or pests.
Software that access's SnagPop: You must
not list software which directly or indirectly access's SnagPop's web site area
and database without approval by us.
Stolen property: Or
personal property with the serial number removed or altered.
Tobacco: You must
not list tobacco that includes cigarettes, cigars, and smokeless tobacco.
Tobacco related items may be allowed for sale.
